History of Barbara Lebek Fashion
Barbara Lebek clothing is a German fashion company, famous for its women’s coats and jackets. Founded in 1923 by Gertrud Lebek in Wroclaw, it initially did not have a specific brand. Lebek focused on the production and distribution of high-quality women’s clothing. In 1951, after a brief closure, his son Hans Lebek re-founded the company in Neuss, marking the beginning of a new era.
1957, administration and sales were moved to Düsseldorf; same year, the first production plant was opened in Bad Marienberg/Westerwald.
The continued success of the company led to the construction of a new administrative building in Bad Marienberg in 1967. This became the company’s new headquarters. 1990, the next generation entered the business. Hans Lebek worked together with his children, Barbara Lebek and Jürgen Lebek, to manage the company.
In 1996, Hans retired completely, handing over management to his sons. 1997, the company launched the “Laura Lebek” brand, dedicated to combined fashion. 2009 and 2016, Lebek modernized its logo.
