<h2 class="wp-block-heading">From the miniskirt to the present day, 90 years of history of the Badii Group.</h2>



<p>It was among the first fashion agencies in the 1960s to launch the miniskirt in Rome, one of the most revolutionary symbols in the history of postwar Italy, still traditionalist. And now the Badii Fashion Group, an all-Italian story founded in 1935 by Bruno Badii and born as a street vendor, turns 90. At a time when the capital was experiencing the cultural ferment of the Piper Club, cinema, and la dolce vita, the agency&#8217;s vision opened the city to international tastes, thanks in part to the arrival of Maurizio Badii, who joined the family business in 1969.</p>

<h1 class="wp-block-heading">The distribution system in the world of retail fashion is short-sighted&#8230;</h1>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">The Sell Out Dilemma: How to Increase Full Price Sales.</h4>



<p>The question that the enlightened are asking is how this is possible in a short</p>



<p>time bring sell outs at full price to 50% or 60% of the input: The answer is given</p>



<p>by the markets of Northern Europe or the international chains that after 2</p>



<p>weeks of sales, they immediately insert the company&#8217;s products new</p>

<h2>CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT BALL&#8217;S HISTORY AND WHAT IT HAS REPRESENTED SINCE 1974, THE YEAR OF THE FOUNDATION?</h2>
<p>Ball Interview Kasper Philipsen: The brand was born in 1974 in Rimini from an idea by Aldo Ciavatta and marked the beginning of a new era for jeans, denim and their role in fashion. BALL was the first company to introduce the concept of stonewash treatment and to improve the fit and comfort of the fabric. Precisely in those years, denim products became an integral part of clothing collections – an event indicative of the fashion landscape at the time.</p>
<p>Ciavatta also revolutionized product development, taking inspiration from the American dream. He was able to reinterpret and innovate the garments by adding particular details and unique elements, two aspects that have always remained inherent to the brand since then.</p>
<p>BALL was a great success in Italy, defining the fashion of the Seventies and Eighties with loose, colorful and logoed sweatshirts and T-shirts that paired well with the perfect cut of jeans. The brand has managed to establish itself on the market thanks to immediately recognizable products, and in particular jeans with the iconic double flap. Then the collections began to become popular throughout Europe and BALL made its way among the market leaders in Italy, southern Europe, Germany, Belgium, Holland and above all in Scandinavia, where the company is based today.</p>
<h4>LA RINASCITA</h4>
<p>1989 the owner closed its doors, but Germany, Belgium and Scandinavia retained the production license and sales continued until 1998.  2021, a young Danish woman bought back the rights to the brand globally and started the relaunch, mainly with the intention of bringing the iconic sweatshirt back into fashion</p>

<p>We have immense respect for its history, especially considering that it has dominated the market. Believe that by immersing ourselves in the products and drawing on the solid values that have always inspired the brand and its production, BALL will be able to regain the position it deserves.</p>

<h2>WHAT ARE THE FOCUS POINTS OF BALL&#8217;S RELAUNCH?</h2>
<p>Our philosophy is to be inspired by the fabulous products of the origins and reinterpret them to adapt them to the present. For production, we are oriented towards Europe: the jeans will be made in Italian factories, some of which have a historical connection with BALL, which dates back to the Seventies and Eighties. The T-shirts, sweatshirts and knitwear will be produced mainly in Italy and Portugal.</p>
<h2>WILL THE COLLECTIONS ALSO INCLUDE THE FIRST, PIONEERING MODELS?</h2>
<p>Yes, we will present a wide range of models that interpret and renew the archive ones. We worked a lot on stonewash jeans and sweatshirts, the brand&#8217;s most recognizable products. The logo will also be clearly visible on several items and we are thrilled that BALL&#8217;s distinctive features will be found in the 2024 collection.</p>
<h2>WHAT IS SPECIAL ABOUT THIS NEW VERSION OF THE BRAND AND WHAT IS THE TARGET?</h2>
<p>The first collection will be dedicated to women&#8217;s models and we will target customers who are attentive to quality and style and who purchase with awareness. We will offer products designed to last, replicating silhouettes and cuts. It is difficult to establish a specific target, because our products can be worn by practically everyone. We want to create a strong style, suitable for today&#8217;s women and hope that the variety of products and recognizable details reflects customers&#8217; expectations and convinces them, regardless of age or geographical area.</p>
<h4>PRICE RANGE</h4>
<p>Our price and quality range is in line with what the brand has always maintained. Quality features and fabrics and attention to washing and processing procedures. We want to guarantee excellent value for money, but without being the cheapest choice on the shelves.</p>
<h2>WHAT ARE YOUR EXPECTATIONS FOR BALL AFTER THE RELAUNCH? Ball Interview Kasper Philipsen</h2>
<p>We expect to gain a solid position, focusing on five-pocket denim and plan to relaunch the brand by extending distribution to a large part of Europe from the first season. Continue our journey by focusing on the most interesting retailers, who have already demonstrated their firm belief in the brand.</p>

<p>Ball is back &#8211; In 1974 in Rimini, Aldo Ciavatta, with his well-known and respected reputation, chose to become self-employed and create something great, building on his years of experience, learning, and his vast network in the retail market.</p>



<p>Besides being an experienced and well-known actor in the jeans market, Aldo Ciavatta is also recognized as a very skilled, creative, innovative, and successful businessman, and this combination allowed Aldo to create history and bring “BALL” to life.</p>

<p>Aldo was greatly fascinated especially by the American university universe , and all his projects were based on and ispired by the American style, especially college sports such as polo, cricket, and baseball.</p>



<p>&#8220;Ball&#8221; quickly became a huge succes in Italy, and its success rapidly grew and spread throughout the rest of European within a few years.</p>

<p>Since 1976, “BALL” was launched in Scandinavia by two friends, both named Hans. The friends set out on a quest for happiness in Norway, after all suddenly one day, a huge chain of stores decided to acquire the brand, but certainly marked a turning point in the journey of the two friends.</p>



<p>In the years that followed, “BALL” grew enormously and quickly became well-known in the Scandinavian fashion industry.</p>



<p>During 1983, “BALL” introduced the first printed sweatshirt in Europe, marking a significant innovation in the fashion industry at the time</p>

<p>1998, Mr. Hans Gerhard Svarverud, who had become the only owner, passed away, and the company closed down a few years late</p>



<p>2020 &#8220;BALL®&#8221; is back!</p>



<p>After a break of 20-year, BALL® is back. Months of research and the examination of hundreds of old class photos, photo albums from the years between 1976 and 1996, and vintage styles have made it possible to recreate BALL®’s unique identity.</p>



<p>With the help of designers, stylists, and experts, the BALL® team has been able to recreate and modernize the unique fit and distinctive cut and has created a BALL® jeans collection with more attitude than ever.</p>
